A chronic subdural hematoma (SDH) is a collection of blood in the brain. It is present between the brain and the dura which covers the brain.
It usually begins forming several days or weeks after bleeding initially starts. Bleeding is usually due to a trivial head injury.
Usually the diagnosis is missed because of the late onset of symptoms.
